Carl N. McCullough Wednesday, September 21, 1921 - Monday, May 15, 2017

Carl N. McCullough died peacefully on May 15, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  Age 95, longtime resident of Springfield.  He served honorably with the United States Marines in WWII in Pacific Theatre 2nd Marine Division 8th Regiment.  He participated in action against the enemy on Tinian Island in Okinawa as a machine gunner.  He also served in the occupation force in Nagasaki, Japan.  He obtained the rank of Corporal.  He was a 70 year member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local #8.  He served 50 of those years as an employee of the Academy of Music.  He was a lifetime and charter member of the Springfield Swim Club where he spent many summers with his family who he loved spending time with.  He loved the Jersey Shore and Florida where he loved spending time on the beach.  Carl loved family and loved his life and lived it to the fullest.  He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" (nee Zimmerman).  Devoted father of Carl P. (Janet Kerner), James (Gerry), Tracey Talley (Steve) and the late Christopher.  Loving grandfather to Gwendolyn, Michael (Dana), Christopher,  Steven and Kyle.   Great grandfather of Daniella, Michael Jr. and Lia.  Relatives and friends may call Thursday eve from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, Sproul and Lawrence Rds., Broomall.  They may also call Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM..  Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
